neurotitan präsentiert im Rahmen von "Habitat Happy - 300m², cozy, short term" die Deutschlandpremiere von "Olhar Instigado"Der Film wird in Portugiesisch mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt. Das anschließende Gespräch findet auf Portugiesisch mit englischer Übersetzung statt. Der Eintritt ist frei.

Deutschlandpremiere von "Olhar Instigado" mit anschließender Diskussionsveranstaltung zu Pixação. Auf dem Podium sprechen Fabio Vieira und Bruno Rodrigues des "Coletivo Arde Pixo" (São Paulo, Brasilien), Paul Schweizer (kollektiv orangotango) und Don Karl (From Here to Fame Publishing). Moderiert durch Carsten Janke (Archiv der Jugendkulturen).

Die Veranstaltung wird drei Themenblöcke integrieren: soziale Ungleichheit und städtischer Raum, Kriminalisierung von peripheren Jugendkulturen und Polizeigewalt in São Paulo; Ursprung, Bedeutung sowie künstlerische Einordnung von Pixação; und künstlerischer Widerstand im Kontext faschistischer Tendenzen.
Entlang dieser thematischen Linien werden die Künstler Fabio Vieira und Bruno Rodrigues des "Coletivo Arde Pixo" im Gespräch mit Don Karl sowie Paul Schweizer Erfahrungen und Reflexionen aus dem Kontext São Paulo mit dem Publikum teilen.

São Paulo, die wirtschaftliche Hauptstadt Brasiliens, eine Stadt der Widersprüche und Paradoxien, ein urbanes Stück eines Landes, dessen öffentlicher Raum durch die Divergenzen und Konvergenzen seiner Bewohner*Innen geformt und strukturiert wird. In diesem Zusammenhang versuchen drei Künstler sich den öffentlichen Raum anzueignen. Olhar Instigado dokumentiert ihre Visionen und künstlerische Praxis auf den Straßen der größten Stadt Südamerikas. Einer von ihnen ist Bruno Rodrigues, der im Anschluss des Filmes über Bedeutung und Ursprung von Pixação sowie seine eigene Praxis als Pixador referieren wird.

German premiere "Olhar Instigado" & Talk about Pixação with our residence artists from Coletivo Arde Pixo

Within the frame of "Habitat Happy – 300m2, cozy, short term" we're happy to host the German premiere of the Portuguese movie "Olhar Instigado".The film will be screened with English subtitles, discussion will be in Portuguese with English translation. Free admission.
 
German premiere of the documentary "Olhar Instigado", followed by a discussion about Pixação. On the podium are Fábio Vieira and Bruno Rodrigues of "Coletivo Arde Pixo" (São Paulo, Brazil), Paul Schweizer (kollektiv orangotango) and Don Karl (From Here to Fame Publishing). Moderated by Carsten Janke (Archiv der Jugendkulturen).

This event will cover three topics: social inequality and urban space, criminalization of peripheral youth cultures and police violence in São Paulo; origin, meaning and artistic classification of Pixação; and artistic resistance in the context of fascist tendencies. In conversation with Don Karl and Paul Schweizer the artists Fábio Vieira and Bruno Rodrigues of the "Coletivo Arde Pixo" will share experiences and reflections from the context of São Paulo along these thematic lines with the audience.

São Paulo, the economic capital of Brazil, a city of contradictions and paradoxes, an urban piece of a country whose public space is built and structured through the divergences and convergences that exist among its inhabitants. In this context, three artists seek to take ownership of the public space. Olhar Instigado (Instigated Look) documents their vision and their artistic practices on the streets of the largest city in South America. One of them is Bruno Rodrigues who will talk about the meaning and origin of Pixação and his own practice as Pixador.
