The works of the series Electronicartes on display in this exhibition date from 2002 to 2003 and have been sent out by Ferrari via email. Inspired by their analogue precursor mail art, which Ferrari already practised in the 1980s, these digital postcards comment, often in a sarcastic manner, on issues of US foreign policy and the George W. Bush administration (very explicitly, for example, in the series Contra Bush). Mail art both disregards and eludes the established (art) systems and in this matches Ferrari's egalitarian understanding of art. While some of the works on display have been digitally altered through photo editing, others are staged in the studio and take as their starting point objects that are familiar from Ferrari's object art series.
